We will also celebrate the installation of incoming Co-Presidents Jocelyn Brown and Pam Wolfman as they begin an exciting new chapter for CHW Vancouver Centre.

Join Dr. Karen Gelmon (bio below), renowned medical oncologist, as she moderates a fascinating conversation with Prof. Shai Rosenberg, Head of Artificial Intelligence in Oncology and Head of Hadassah’s Laboratory for Computational Biology of Cancer.
Together, they will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming personalized cancer treatment and driving groundbreaking advances in cancer care at Hadassah Hospital.

Dr. Karen Gelmon
Dr. Gelmon is a Professor of Medicine at the UBC, an elected Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and a member of the Department of Medical Oncology at BC Cancer. She was Chair of the UBC/BCC Research Ethics Board, Academic Head of the UBC Division of Medical Oncology, Chair of the Breast and New Drug committees of the Canadian Clinical trials Group, a member of the BIG (Breast International Group) Executive Board Group and the Scientific Advisory Council for Komen. She has combined clinical care with research and teaching and has published extensively with over 400 publications. She is the recipient of several awards including the YWCA Woman of Distinction award, the BC Terry Fox Medal and the Canadian Medical Oncology Pioneer award. She is an active member of the community.
