For the second year in a row, CHW has partnered with Canada Israel Fashion Week (CIFW). CIFW ends with the highly anticipated CHW FASHION BLOOMS GALA, hosting over 500 guests in what promises to be the highlight of CIFW. The evening will showcase an extraordinary runway presentation of acclaimed Israeli designers and will include a Celebrity Runway,* live entertainment, music, an open bar, and gourmet cuisine. Guests can explore the MARKET, an exclusive shopping experience supporting Jewish and Israeli-owned businesses. Sponsors will enjoy exclusive perks and reserved first or second row seating.
Proceeds from CHW Fashion Blooms and CIFW 2026 will empower victims of violence and trauma. Domestic, sexual, gender based, and intimate partner violence (IPV) are societal issues of epidemic proportion in Israel and Canada. CHW’s support is filling the gaps to empower those most at risk, helping provide solutions for protection, prevention, economic independence, and trauma recovery, to help break the cycle of violence and start over safely. Funding is provided to six programs: Franny’s Fund in Canada and Michal Sela Forum, HaGal Sheli, Her Academy, and Eden Association in Israel.

Henrietta Szold Humanitarian Award
The Henrietta Szold Humanitarian Award is CHW’s highest honour, recognizing extraordinary leadership, philanthropy, and commitment to advancing healthcare, healing, and the well-being of vulnerable communities. Named for the Hadassah founder, a visionary who transformed compassion into action, the award celebrates individuals whose impact reflects her enduring legacy.
The inaugural award is being presented to Harry Lebovic in recognition of his transformative generosity and leadership in advancing critical healthcare at the Gandel Rehabilitation Center at Hadassah Hospital, Mount Scopus by making an impact and lasting difference in the lives of those in need. Like Henrietta Szold, Harry’s relentless pursuit to make the world a better place is profoundly inspiring.
The presentation will take place November 8 at FASHION BLOOMS Toronto.
CHW Montreal Centre is proud to pay tribute to the late Sigal Bar Weizmann at FASHION BLOOMS on October 21. Sigal was a deeply committed and devoted volunteer whose impact was felt across our community for many years. Sigal passed away tragically on June 7, 2023.
Sigal gave generously of her time to numerous causes. She was an active volunteer with Beit Halochem, Zera Café, and CHW, and played a meaningful role in the Montreal Jewish community and at the Montreal Torah Center. A proud Israeli and passionate Zionist, Sigal’s spirit, warmth, and dedication will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
*Sponsors and donors who contribute $25,000+ will be invited to strut their stuff on the Celebrity Runway, have their photos professionally taken, and potentially featured on social pages and in magazines across the country. This exclusive opportunity also offers the chance to mingle with celebrities, influencers, and other notable guests.
