CHW extends a heartfelt thank you to Racheli Cohavi Rom, the dedicated Manager of the Sandy Martin (Alberta) Daycare Centre who will be officially ending her role this month.
Reflecting back on her years of service, Racheli shares:
“After serving 11 years as the Manager of the Daycare Centre, where I guided and cared for over 1000 families, it is time for me to say thank you to CHW and the Canadian Jewish community for your incredible support and partnership.
My role at the Centre included training and leading staff, forging strong ties with families and parents and working towards our vision- that children need a nurturing environment in order to grow, develop, gain self-confidence and believe in themselves.
I cherish the warm relationship we have with CHW, who encouraged us to follow this vision. The support we have received over the years has been incredible, and included many generous donations towards services and equipment, such as safe and fun outdoor equipment and playgrounds. The contribution of musical instruments has also brought a lot of joy to the children as they learn a new language and socialization skills through music.
We are always delighted to host groups from Canada and showcase the incredible educational programs we offer at the Centre and in Israel. The children really enjoyed meeting youth from Canadian Young Judea this summer who stopped by to learn about the program and play with the children.
Thank you to everyone and special thanks to all the active women in so many communities across Canada! You are an important link in the chain and a partner in bringing quality education and care to children in Israel.
It has been a true honour and privilege.”
