Opening Luncheon & Games Day

Join us on Wednesday, October 14 for the CHW Calgary Centre Opening Luncheon & Games Day, featuring a special tribute to outgoing CHW Calgary Centre President Dorothy Hanson, honouring her leadership, dedication, and service to CHW. Enjoy an afternoon of community and connection in support of at-risk women and children.
The afternoon will feature a luncheon and special guest speaker (to be announced), followed by an afternoon of games for Luncheon & Games ticket holders.
Luncheon Only Ticket - $65 per person
Luncheon & Games Ticket - $80 per person
11:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Southeast Calgary - location shared after registration.
Proceeds will support programs at Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre and HomeFront, providing counselling, therapy, legal support, and other services for children, families, and survivors of domestic violence.
The event will also support the CHW Calgary Centre Toy Drive, providing holiday gifts to children in need through Franny’s Fund, Jewish Family Services Calgary (JFSC), and Alberta Children’s Hospital.
Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.

Games Day is Supporting Franny's Fund:
Franny’s Fund was created to provide help for parents and families in need of an urgent response, who are unable to access critical services.
Franny’s Fund originated in Calgary and can be found at both Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre and Homefront. Support of Luna provides access to specialized therapeutic interventions and services for children, youth, and families navigating through a history of trauma. Franny’s Fund Calgary supports extended services to siblings and caregivers to ensure the entire family can heal and supports additional counseling sessions. Homefront empowers survivors to break the cycle of violence by providing legal support, counseling, and therapy services. Franny’s Fund Calgary supports empowering events for survivors, trauma-informed counseling for survivors of domestic violence, and helps cover the costs of legal fees associated with domestic violence cases.
Games Day is Supporting the CHW Calgary Centre Toy Drive:
The CHW Calgary Toy Drive provides toys to underprivileged children for the holidays through Franny’s Fund, Jewish Family Services Calgary (JFSC), and Alberta Children’s Hospital.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Toy Drive.
