Your generous support of this CHW (Canadian Hadassah-WIZO) fundraiser will benefit youth mental health services and the treatment of soldiers, hostage survivors, and civilians at the new Gandel Rehabilitation Centre at Hadassah Hospital, Mount Scopus in Jerusalem; PTSD treatment at Shamir Medical Centre located in Lod, south of Tel Aviv; and Boost Child and Youth Advocacy Centre in Toronto through Franny’s Fund.
Our Hosts
Lynn Factor and Sheldon Inwentash are philanthropists dedicated to tikkun olam, making this world a better place. Their values are reflected in their strong support of numerous charitable causes in Israel and Canada. Lynn is a member of the Israel Museums and Arts, Canada Board, which is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching, promoting, and celebrating Israeli arts and culture by raising awareness and financial support for the Israel Museum. Additionally, Lynn and Sheldon have provided foundational funding and numerous scholarships to the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto and the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada. Collecting art is their passion and they have built a museum worthy collection beyond the artwork in their home. Artworks from their collection are regularly on loan to various museums around the globe. This year CHW Toronto Machar Chapter is grateful to Lynn and Sheldon for graciously opening their home and sharing the story of their collecting journey and longstanding relationship with distinguished expert, David Moos.
