CHW proudly represents its primary affiliate organizations: Hadassah International and World WIZO.

Hadassah International

Hadassah International is a network of dedicated volunteers, men and women of all faiths and nationalities, founded on the principle that progress and cooperation in medicine and science transcends politics, religion, and national boundaries. Established in 1983, Hadassah International currently spans the five continents of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 1990, CHW affiliated with Hadassah International and became the sole representative of Hadassah Hospital in Canada.

World WIZO

WIZO, the Women’s International Zionist Organization, is an international movement dedicated to advancing the status of women, the welfare of all sectors of Israeli society, and the cultivation of Jewish education in Israel and the Diaspora. WIZO provides services for infants, children, youth, women and the elderly in Israel. There are 50 WIZO Federations throughout the world, working actively for the well-being of the citizens of Israel. CHW has been affiliated with WIZO since 1921.

Shamir Medical Centre (Assaf Harofeh)

The Shamir Medical Centre (Assaf Harofeh), one of the largest government hospitals in Israel, is a 832-bed academic medical facility. Renowned for its compassionate approach, the hospital provides all major services of a state-of-the-art modern medical centre, offering on-site comprehensive care in nearly all branches of medicine. Canadian Young Judaea (CYJ)

Each year, CHW provides funding to CANADIAN YOUNG JUDAEA summer camps in Canada, which aim to strengthen young members’ Jewish identity and principles. CHW is honoured to have grown alongside such a wonderful organization, and enjoys serving children and youth in Canada and Israel together. Founded in 1917, Canadian Young Judaea (CYJ) is Canada’s largest Jewish youth movement with active centres from Vancouver to Halifax. Its ideology is pluralistic and apolitical. CYJ’s aim is to strengthen its young members Jewish identity with an emphasis on the centrality of Israel. Canadian Young Judaea offers a wide range of year round and summer programs across the country.

CHW Netanya Technological High School

CHW supports Netanya Technological High School, ensuring that hundreds of students have a safe ride to school through the Transportation Program. As well, CHW provides the opportunity for 20 students to participate in the annual March of the Living Program in Poland. Established in 1972 as a Youth Aliyah study centre, in 1997, the Netanya Municipality and the Ministry of Education assumed management of the school. CHW has been an active partner since that time, and is its sole representative in Canada.

Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College (JMC)

Since its accreditation as a degree-granting institution in 1996, the College’s academic model has focused on training Israel’s next generation of skilled professionals while emphasizing excellence in instruction, research and innovative scholarship. JMC is dedicated to imparting its students with the knowledge, skills and sense of personal empowerment they need to build successful careers. Neri Bloomfield School of Design

The Neri Bloomfield School of Design merged with the University of Haifa in 2024 and is now under their faculty of Design. The Neri Bloomfield School is a world class, cutting edge college that awards academic degrees in a wide variety of creative fields, including architecture, environmental and educational design, fashion design, graphic design, and photography. This institution is developing academic excellence and becoming a major influencer and innovator in the world of design. A highly respected design school of higher learning, it nurtures individual creativity among its student body while instilling a sense of community. With the most advanced technologies and modern, interactive spaces, students are acquiring the specialized skills and design-oriented critical thinking needed to become outstanding leaders and professionals in their respective fields.

HaGal Sheli

For over a decade, HaGal Sheli has empowered and educated youth nationwide to conquer life’s challenges by harnessing the transformative power of surfing, fostering personal growth, resilience, and success. In the aftermath of the attacks on October 7, HaGal Sheli launched an emergency trauma intervention program to prevent the onset of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among affected individuals. Since the onset of the war, HaGal Sheli has provided critical care to over 1,000 evacuees from the most affected communities in both the north and south, released hostages, Nova Festival survivors, active combat soldiers, and veterans. Certified surf instructors lead each weekly session throughout the program, supported by trauma specialists, clinical psychologists, educators, and mentors.

Her Academy

Her Academy is a revolutionary non-profit organization, working holistically to support highly vulnerable women escaping prostitution and violence in Israel through the provision of vocational training, job placement services, and more. Their success rate is remarkable: 85% of students graduate and over 70% of those eligible for work find stable employment. They restore independence and control by providing access to education, skill-building, and a judgment-free learning environment. Their services work together in and with the existing system to enhance overall support. In 2024, with CHW’s support, Her Academy hopes to support 200 students in Tel Aviv and 40 students at a branch opening soon in Haifa.

Michal Sela Forum (MSF)

MSF is a non-profit organization in Israel, founded to prevent domestic violence using technological solutions and outside-the-box thinking, along with an emphasis on broad public responsibility and awareness for identifying the warning signs of domestic violence. By creating an opportunity for the development of innovative life-saving ventures, lives will be saved, and the cycle of abuse broken.
