CHW Toronto Dor L’Dor Walk 10KM For $10K

CHW Toronto Dor L’Dor Chapter will be walking together on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in support of The Michal Sela Forum (MSF), specifically The Michal Sela Canines Project. The Michal Sela Canines Project is an innovative program, which which provides women under high-risk threat of intimate partner violence with life-saving protection dogs. The dog is given to the woman to live with her as a family member. The dog is a life-saving gift that gives the woman and her children quality of life, as well as physical and emotional security. This is an innovative project and the first of its kind in Israel

Victims can get their life back on track with a new sense of security. This is a highly impactful program that saves lives and costs a fraction of what it would cost to keep a woman at a domestic abuse shelter for several months.

MSF is a non-profit organization in Israel, founded to prevent domestic violence using technological solutions and outside-the-box thinking, along with an emphasis on broad public responsibility and awareness for identifying the warning signs of domestic violence. By creating an opportunity for the development of innovative life-saving ventures, lives will be saved, and the cycle of abuse broken
